The views from the Room were fantastic, overlooking the blue waters. The room was comfortable, bathroom with tub was good and the Balcony to sit in and soak in the views. The Staff was particularly helpful with Parking, arranging a photographer, etc. The breakfast has good spread with very attentive staff. Good conversations as well.

Absolutely gorgeous views- especially at sunset. Loved having access to the pool. The rooms were very nice and clean. And the RESTAURANT!!!!! The best food we had on the island. It was fabulous!!! The staff were so friendly and helpful as well. Especially when our tour guide cancelled 3 days before our tour- they found us a new one who was phenomenal! You can’t go wrong with this property.

We thought about other areas of the island, but we decided on here instead. We are so glad we did because it was way more private than the other areas of the island and still within a 10-15 minute walk to shops and restaurants.

Location was amazing, very close to a small traditional town with restaurants and shops. The set-up for the family was great. The jacuzzi was a very nice addition. Beds were very very comfortable. Parking was very useful. The check in was smooth, and they cleaned the room every day with fresh towels and linen. We loved everything about it. Thank you !

You would definitely need a car here to be able to visit Oia and Fira easily. Also Kamari was actually our favourite place, had a lovely beach, shops and restaurants.
Megalokhori itself is very small village, it’s worth a little stroll down to. Also lovely homemade lemonade served in the little bar there.

Loved Megalochori: little beautiful village with its colorful houses, churches and little back alley streets. It was as if I was walking in a big painting or Theatre set. Met many friendly people; visited cozy restaurants and enjoyed tasty meals. Hope to visit many more times in future!

The property is absolutely immaculate!!
The property is absolutely immaculate!! Romantic & Relaxaing!!
Complimentary breakfast was excellent, too!!
Public Transportation not easily accessable - eventhough the bus stop is only a 3 minutes walk. The sidewalk isn't user friendly - very Narrow & lots of outgrown weeds. You can take a bus to Fira from that bus stop - just do it in the morning - at night that area isn't walkable - from Megalochori to Fira is only 1,60 euros. However, from Fira took Uber back to hotel is about 36 Euros! After you arrived Fira bus station, you can take another bus to Oia for another 1,60 euros.
We shouldn't have booked a split level room because there's a steep stairs to climb up to your bed :(

Megalochori is just a small village 5 kms south of the city centre Fira. It is less touristic and will suit people seeking for accommodation that is not so busy and hectic. It has some good restaurants and even a winery that sells fantastic red and rosè wine.

The village is very traditional and much less touristy than the other towns. There is a good selection of restaurants (7/8 maybe) and all of them are lovely, only 1 or 2 serve breakfast though. There are some lovely vineyards in the village too, some cooking classes and horse riding excursions. It's a small village so not huge amounts to do so more of a relaxing base from which to explore the Island. There was a small shop although the opening times were sporadic so we stocked up at the larger supermarkets just out of the village.
We hired a car to get around and there is free parking in the village, the island is very small so it only takes 40 minutes to get to the other side, I think the local busses call through too although we didn't use these.
We went with our 2-year-old who loved the local playground, although there were a lot of cobbles (as with all the villages) which made the buggy difficult.

This town was a great location on the island.
This town was a great location on the island. Not to close to the over touristed towns but easy access to them. The Town has everything you need, good restaurants, wineries and the best bakery in the island.
Private concierge George was a gem, really saves you any misses that might happen with restaurants/attractions. His recommendations were on point!
Personal touch from the manager was also appreciated.
The bed was very comfortable.
Breakfast was tailored exactly to our wants and needs, since we usually don't eat early we skip breakfast but here we were able to have it in our schedule which was perfect.
There was some privacy here, which seems quite rare in other locations on Santorini.
The view was stunning!
Location is in the middle on the island so max 10 min drive to anywhere
Cleanleness, new building & new furniture
Hospitality from host Demitrios and attention to details (Kitchenette equipments, glasses, wine opener, etc)
Smart TV
View was a breathtaking
Near by bakery is super nice
Available Parking is an advantage
A hint for all travelers, you will Definitely need a transport in Santorini so rent a small car or a quad bike
Relaying on public transport and taxi is not the best idea
First of all the hotel for amazing!!! It was nice and tranquil so you could really relax there. The bus stop was right outside so the location was perfect and the rooms super comfy. Staff was so lovely but Martina was an angel. We had problems with our flight so we came three days late and stayed three days longer. Martina sorted us out without any hassle. We had to change rooms(to a bigger room) free of charge. Would 110% recommend abelonas village to anyone staying in Santorini.
We stayed at the Stone House. Simply magnificent. From the beauty to the hospitality of the staff. Lots of privacy, silence, a beautiful pool and hot water from all the taps and especially a big and very comfortable bed. All in very good taste. It's even better than the pictures in the ad look. I recommend it to everyone who wants a different view of Santorini, more charming and less commercial than Fira and Oya, but much more authentic. A hidden gem.
The view was absolutely outstanding, the best place for a Santorinian sunset! George our host was delightful and always greeted us with a smile. He was very helpful with anything we needed (dinner recommendations, transport etc.). The breakfast every morning was very yummy and satisfying. Very central to everything, will most likely need a car!
The hosts were very hospitable (welcome gift), drove us into the main town, nice verandah with a large table for four, ocean view & the location close to transportation, mini market & a family run restaurant. The popular instagram spots of the 'heart' of Santorini & the 'rabbit' hole are only a 10-minute walk from the accommodation.
Everything was perfect in Abelonas. maximum cleanliness, very comfortable rooms and very friendly staff. Maritina made our stay more pleasant with her advice and her smile. Very practical villa location for anyone who prefers the low cost travel of the local bus. Absolute recommendation for anyone choosing Santorini for a vacation😊
Absolutely everything is top notch at Alti Santorini Suites. From arrival to departure we enjoyed the spectalur views the beautiful swimming pools, the peaceful and very quite nights. The staff were very accomodating and helpful to every request. Very highly reccommend anyone looking for a premium location and service to stay here
- Awesome view from the room and terrace (to be honest it's hard not to have a nice view of the Caldeira). The experience must be even better in summertime
- Quiet area and easy to move around with car (historical part of Santorini is in the South, so closer to the place than Fira or Oia)
- Nice and attentive hosts
The location is fabulous !! It has a beautiful sea view on the caldera. I almost hated to go out to do anything. I just wanted to relax right at the hotel !
Staff is very friendly. Markos was wonderfully helpful. He arranged anything I needed (rental car, taxi, everything I asked).
Everything was terrible the location, hotel , nothing is matching to the photos and description, we had to change the hotel and lost our money and time. Our vacation was ruined. We had to pay double to get the last moment another hotel
The view was phenomenal. The staff was friendly and went out of their way to make sure that we had a wonderful trip! The breakfasts (and all meals at the hotel) were exceptional. The room with the private balcony was great, too!
The 3 bedrooms flat was amazing and very well furnished with a Mediterrenean style. The location in the small village of Megalochory is perfect if you want to escape from the crowded part of Santorini.
Lovely quiet location tucked away down some little streets. The outdoor terrace areas were beautiful. Megalokhori is a hidden gem in santorini so this property was great value for money.
The villa was beautiful and spacious. The host was incredibly accommodating and helped make our Santorini experience amazing! Great location in a village away from touristy areas.
Beautiful place to watch the sunset without the crowds.
I love everything about the hotel. The service was great and every employee did their best to make everyone at home.
